Honda RC213V-S Superbike Patent !!

Honda has been demonstrated for some time that they want to come up with the street version of the MotoGP bike. And we know that Race-rep superbike would be named Honda RC213V-S. Although never confirmed from the Japanese, Honda could well soon come to market, yet within one or two years. Proof is the patents that Honda has now applied, or is it all off again on an april fools ?

Honda has only a small part of the RC213V-S patented, or otherwise said, the rear gets a patent, and the rest of the machine as it was also shown at the Brussels motor show, and again nearly identical to the engine appearing last year in MotoGP. Outside the rear and the associated suspension is not patentable. One possible course of action is of course that the design of the Honda engine still will upset drastically and later still the necessary patents about to request.

The fact is that the Honda RC213V-S still causes some headaches, and Honda still no official statement promulgated to announce that they are legal race-rep into production with the street.
